Our Yarn Spinners

High-quality yarns are the heart of our knitwear. We source our yarns exclusively from trusted Italian spinners who combine traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation and responsible practices.

We collaborate with a renowned Tuscan spinner specializing in luxurious mohair yarns as well as knitting and craft yarns. Founded in 1976, the company has earned an excellent reputation by sourcing the finest mohair from top breeders in South Africa. Their commitment to ethical and sustainable production ensures the welfare of animals and the environment. With decades of experience, they continue to innovate, offering collections that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design – the perfect partner for Hey Rosie.

They are dedicated to sustainability and provide certifications such as RMS (Responsible Mohair Standard), RWS (Responsible Wool Standard), and the use of recycled fibers.

They have signed Hey Rosie’s ethical supplier guidelines.

Mohair yarns in our knitwear

Our mohair yarns are spun in Italy, where the expertise in handling this delicate fiber is unparalleled. We use two types of mohair yarns.

Year-Round Light-weight Mohair Blend

Composition: Conventional Superkid Mohair, RWS-certified wool, recycled polyamide

This blend gives lightweight mohair garments an airy softness, subtle glow, and gentle warmth while maintaining durability. By using RWS-certified wool and recycled polyamide, we can reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. As our order volumes grow, we can source RMS-certified mohair from our spinner instead of conventional mohair.

Chunky Mohair Blend

Composition: Conventional Kid Mohair, recycled polyamide

With growing orders, we can also source RMS-certified mohair from our spinner instead of the conventional.

Our commitment to certified yarns

Each season, we take concrete steps toward fully certifying all our yarns. We believe in transparency and in sharing our journey openly with you.

While certifications sometimes require larger production volumes, we continuously work to expand the use of certified and recycled fibers in every product. By choosing our knitwear, you support this ongoing change and our vision of fashion that is beautiful, responsible, and sustainable.
