Care & Washing Guide

Care and Washing Guide

Our knitwear, crafted from the finest yarns, offers a luxurious and soft feel. Natural irregularities and small variations add unique character, making each garment one of a kind.

The mohair yarns we use may shed some fibers at first, but this will reduce to a minimum after a few wears.

Gentle handling

The yarns are naturally delicate and may pull. If this happens, carefully pull the long loop back to the inside of the garment and gently even it out with the surrounding stitches.

Friction may cause pilling – this is a normal feature of knits. Use a fabric comb to restore the beauty and smooth surface of your garment.

Treat with love, and with proper care your garment will remain as beautiful as the first time you wore it.

Washing instructions

Machine wash on a wool program or hand wash gently in cold water, maximum 30 °C. We test washing in a home machine (Miele), wool program 30 °C, spin at 600 rpm.

Use a mild wool detergent. Regular detergent is harmful – do not use it.

Do not soak when hand washing.

Do not wring or spin harshly to remove water after washing. Rough handling may permanently damage the yarn.

Do not tumble dry – it will ruin the garment.

 Airing

Airing is  a good alternative to washing when the garment is stain-free but needs freshening. Natural fibres freshen up well, and the piece feels clean after a thorough airing.

Drying

Dry flat on a clean towel or drying rack. A wet knit is heavy and will stretch if hung. While damp, you may gently shape the garment to your desired form, but handle with care.

Brushing after Wash Care

Once your knitwear has fully dried, gently smooth the surface with a very soft clothing brush. This delicate step helps release small knots and remove hair, leaving the piece refined and fresh.

Regular brushing between washes preserves the softness, elegance, and timeless beauty of your knitwear.

Storage

Store folded, never hung, to avoid stretching and distortion.

With careful care, your knitwear will remain soft, comfortable, and elegant for years to come.
